Case Study - The restoration of the front facade of a Victorian terraced house in Lee.

This image of the front elevation of a Victorian terrace in Lee shows newly cleaned and pointed brickwork by Mahon Brickwork Ltd. The existing pebble dashing was hacked off, and 60 bricks were replaced. The brickwork was then cleaned down and raked out, and then the front elevation was repointed in a neat weather struck finish. Note that the image shows the high quality of the pointing work that was carried out by Mahon Brickwork Ltd. The existing window sill on the bay needed to be replaced. The restoration process included the cleaning down of the brickwork, the removal of the old pebbledashing, the replacement of spalled and decayed bricks, followed by the refacing and repointing of the brickwork. Shuttering was put in place so that the new window sill could be created. The finished window sill, completed to the highest standard.
